I heard from a friend in Brunei that their country encourages car pooling to reduce carbon emission. They want low carbon output. Personally this is not feasible. You cannot get anyway in Brunei without a car, the public transport is not ready.
People are rich there. The cars are cheap and the tax is low. Practically, everyone I know in Brunei own at least one or two cars.
A solution: The government must step in to reduce the cars. Just like Singapore, they have COE, ERP and god knows what is next. :> Time to learn from your fellow ASEAN Member.

I came to know that there is this business group called ASEAN Business Group (ABG) residing at Singapore Business Federation (SBF). Looks like a very organised group focusing on B2B platforms.
Maybe they can post up some updates on what the group is working on. Perhaps share it on asean-society.org too. We can generate publicity for you.
Anyway, this is a write up of the group extracted from SBF website:
The ASEAN Business Group (ABG) is a high level B2B and B4B business networking platform aimed at serving the needs of member companies of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and the wider business community through value-added information exchanges and services.
Aims of ABG:
# Enhance trade and economic linkages between Singapore and ASEAN member countries
# Develop and promote networking between Singapore companies and their ASEAN counterparts as well as relevant government agencies and organisations in the ASEAN member countries.
# Help SBF members channel their feedback and views to relevant government bodies and facilitate their business deals.
# Identify and develop new business opportunities in the respective ASEAN markets. SBF ABG will facilitate as a deal maker and catalyst for businesses between Singapore, ASEAN countries and other countries in China, the Middle East and South Asia through various platforms including e-links.
# Facilitate and support SBF members who are interested in doing business with the ASEAN member countries.
# Position SBF as the first stop for ASEAN member country organizations who wish to do business with Singapore firms.
SBF’s ABG actively organizes business missions, project facilitation, market seminars, business matching, CEO roundtable and other B2B & B4B events to keep our members updated with the latest business developments and connect them to markets and opportunities. SBF ABG membership is free and applications are invited from all interested parties who are keen to participate in this networking platform.
